BIG EASY,CRESCENT CITY,NOLA,KHORAMSHAHR,MARDI GRAS...
KHORAMSHAHR=BIENVILLE,also a sister city of Khoramshahr,Iran,per Dr.M B Rahimparast
It was during the past years that I have posted quite a few New Orleans in form of poetry, prose and pix,
in  preparation for my new book on NEW ORLEANS.This post on the subject, is especially written for my gorgeous grandchildren:Tristan & Skylar,A K A Trissky...O WAVES !! + friends to enjoy...
VILLE DE LA NOUVELLE-ORLEANS
With Louisiana Purchase (1803),New Orleans acquired a password to officially become
an American city,
and soon to be the 3rd largest port of U.S.
The original city was built in Vieux Carre (Old Square)/French Quarter, and the rest in Faubourgs(suburbs),and furthermore on an old plantation,Livaudais,
away from riverfront business establishment :Garden District
NEW ORLEANS is now the 46th city of U.S.with population of 343,829.The metropolitan population is 1,214,932 according to 2010 census. She is founded 7 May 1718 by Bienville and now is considered the 8th most visited city by tourists in the U.S. despite all hurricanes, occasionally tough on the city.
In 2012 Super Bowl XLVII will be played in NEW ORLEANS SUPERDOME,for the record 10th times
We hope we can bring Summer Olympic Games to The City of New Orleans
As of the formula I have submitted to New Orleans newspaper,Times-Picayune :

This is my formula for OLYMPIC EVENTS @NEW ORLEANS,entitled O R L E A N S:
O...Olympic City.New Orleans is a natural place for Olympic games. She is warm, hospitable, organized and sporty.
R...River in the middle of city is great for sightseeing and water sport events like rowing and canoeing.
L...Lands are plenty for sport facilities,in and around the city.
E...Experience in sport events, local, national and international.
A...Abundance of hotels, restaurants, museums, galleries and parks for guests or events.Convention Center is another plus which could easily be converted for sport events or big screen televisions.
N...network of neighboring cities such as Baton Rouge, with LSU campus, other colleges and universities for contributing to field sports and similar events.
S...Superdome, an indoor renovated, modern facility, with Hornet Arena, to deny seasonal storms for events such as Soccer,Basketball,Volleyball ,etc...
